When you become a customer

- Service history and records (delivery dates, service logs, photos)
- Account credentials (email and encrypted password for your customer portal)
- Signed service agreements and electronic signature details (name, IP address, browser information)
Payment information
- We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card numbers
- Payment processing is handled entirely by our billing provider, Intuit QuickBooks. When you add a payment method on file, your card details are entered on and stored by Intuit's secure, PCI-compliant platform
- We only receive confirmation of whether a payment method is on file and transaction status (paid, pending, etc.)
When you visit our website
- We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. This collects anonymized data such as pages visited, time on site, and general geographic region
- We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information to:
- Provide, schedule, and manage our septic and portable toilet services
- Communicate with you about your account, services, and invoices
- Send service reminders, delivery confirmations, and important account notifications
- Process payments through our billing provider

4. How We Protect Your Information
- All data transmitted between your browser and our systems is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
- Account passwords are stored using one-way encryption (bcrypt) — we cannot see your password
- Our customer portal uses secure session management with role-based access controls
- Payment card data never touches our servers — it is handled entirely by Intuit's PCI-compliant infrastructure
5. Your Rights Under PIPA
Under British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act, you have the right to:
- Access your personal information we hold
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Withdraw consent for us to use your information (note: this may affect our ability to provide services)
- File a complaint with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia if you believe your privacy rights have been violated
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as needed to provide our services and fulfill our legal obligations. Service records and signed agreements are retained for a minimum of 7 years for tax and compliance purposes. You may request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting us — we will comply unless we are legally required to retain certain records.
